    • Ankita Raina and Prarthana Thombare have won the decisive doubles against Korea, marking India’s fifth consecutive win in the Billie Jean King Cup World Group play-offs.

    • The win follows Ankita’s victory in the 2020 FedCup, where she won three doubles matches with Sania Mirza.

    • Captain Vishal Uppal opted to keep Ankita for the doubles in all league matches, ensuring India’s qualification.

    • The captain credited the team’s performance with strengthening their resolve and achieving their lakshya (target).

    • The captain also opted to use the team’s strengths, including the youth’s firepower for singles and experienced players for crucial doubles.

    • The team will prepare for the World Group play-offs in a few months, with the aim of improving both physically and tactically.
