India cuts Pakistani trade, postal, port links
• The move follows Pakistan’s nuclear missile test and India’s stringent visa regime targeting Pakistani citizens following a terror attack in Pahalgam.
• The Directorate General of Foreign Trades stated that all goods originating from Pakistan will be prohibited with immediate effect.
• The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways stated that no ship bearing Pakistan’s national flag will be hosted by Indian ports.
• Exemptions will be issued on a case-by-case basis.
• The Department of Communications suspended the exchange of all inbound mail and parcels from Pakistan through air and surface routes.
