    • Indian Air Force chief, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi amid rising cross-border skirmishes.

    • Modi stated that armed forces have been granted “complete operational freedom” to decide on response to the Pahalgam attack.

    • The meeting took place within 24 hours of Navy chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi meeting Modi.

    • India is considering its response to the Pahalgam attack, believed to have been planned in Pakistan.

    • India has suspended the Indus Water Treaty, controlling water flow through the Baglihar Dam and the Kishanganga Dam in Jammu and Kashmir.

    • Pakistan has retaliated by banning Indian-flagged ships from entering its ports, following New Delhi’s punitive measures.
