India-UAE Joint Defence Cooperation Committee Meeting Highlights

• India and UAE reaffirmed commitment to strengthening bilateral defence cooperation.

• The meeting was co-chaired by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and UAE’s Under Secretary of Defence, Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Nasser M. Al Alawi.

• The agreement aims to create a safe and sustainable maritime environment in the region.

• Both countries agreed to enhance military training cooperation and cooperate on maritime security through real-time information sharing.

• Both countries agreed to pursue joint manufacturing initiatives, similar to the collaboration between ICOMM (India) and CARACAL (UAE) for small arms SAURABH TRIVEDI, NEW DELHI production.
