India wants global watchdog to put Pakistan back on its ‘grey list’
• India plans to send a dossier to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) before its June plenary meeting.
• The dossier will push for Pakistan’s re-inclusion on the FATF’s ‘grey list’ of countries subject to increased scrutiny.
• The government will also oppose further World Bank funding to Pakistan.
• Pakistan was removed from the grey list in 2022 under a condition of enacting an anti-terror law.
• The World Bank is expected to discuss a $20 billion funding package for Pakistan in June, which India will strongly oppose.
