Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) Launches 10-Tournament Calendar

• IGPL, co-founded by cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has announced a 10-tournament calendar over the next four months.

• The first tournament will be held in Chandigarh from September 10 with 36 men, 12 women, and a few amateurs.

• The CEO of IGPL, Uttam Singh Mundy, stated that there will be no cut and guaranteed money.

• Other tournaments are scheduled to be held in Greater Noida, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Dubai, and Colombo.

• A regular Asian Tour joint sanctioned tournament will be held at Kensville Golf Resort from November 27 to 30.

• Yuvraj Singh, who supports golfers through his YouWeCan Foundation, believes IGPL will boost confidence in the youngsters and change the dynamics of Indian and world cricket.

• Shiv Kapur, secretary general of the WGAI, and Cho Minn Thant, Tour Commissioner of the Asian Tour, appreciate the “holistic vision” of IGPL.
