Indian Men Missing in Russia
• Indian men fraudulently enlisted in Russian Army and forcibly sent to the Russia-Ukraine border war zone are still missing.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but the families of two missing persons have yet to receive a response.
• Jammu and Kashmir resident Mohammed Amin Sheikh and his son Zahoor Sheikh have sought answers from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the Russian Embassy in Delhi.
• A petition was submitted to the Russian Embassy, stating that at least 15 Indians are still missing.
• Zahoor travelled to Russia after a YouTube video promised a security helper job, but was deceived into joining the Russian Army.
• Jagdeep Kumar, a resident of Jalandhar, Punjab, has also sought answers about his brother Mandeep, who has been missing since March.
