Indian Navy Commissions INS Tushil
• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commissioned the stealth guided missile frigate INS Tushil in Kaliningrad, Russia.
• The frigate is an upgraded Krivak III class frigate of Project 1135.6, with six already in service.
• INS Tushil is the seventh in the series and is the first of two additional follow-on ships under construction in Russia.
• The Indian Navy is preparing to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief to its friends in the region.
• The frigate is designed for blue water operations across all four dimensions of naval warfare and is armed with advanced weapons.
