Indian Ocean operation nets Navy 2,500 kg of drugs

• Indian Navy frigate INS Tarkash, deployed in western Indian Ocean, seized over 2,500 kg of narcotics.
• Received inputs from Navy’s P8I aircraft on suspicious vessels suspected of illicit activities.
• Intercepted and boarded a suspect dhow after systematic interrogation.
• Specialist boarding team discovered sealed packets, including 2,386 kg of hashish and 121 kg of heroin.
• Narcotics were stored in various cargo holds and compartments onboard the vessel.
