Posted on March 3rd, 2025 in Exam Details (QP Included)

    • Arunachal Pradesh’s indigenous faith believers staged a rally demanding early implementation of the 1978 anti-conversion Act.

    • The rally was organized by the Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) at Doimukh.

    • The Act was introduced in 1978 for the welfare of the indigenous tribal society.

    • IFCSAP vice president Pai Dawe argues that the Act has been “lip service” to indigenous faith believers.

    • The Act is seen as a threat to the survival of indigenous faiths as tribal people are increasingly converting to other religions.
