Iranian parliament passes IAEA ending bill

• Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Muhammad Baqer Qalibaf, announced a bill to suspend Tehran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

• The announcement was welcomed by Majlis members.

• IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi warned against a “nuclear accident” and emphasized the need for diplomacy to prevent a global nonproliferation regime collapse.

• Grossi emphasized the common goal of preventing nuclear accidents and weapon states worldwide.
