Jaishankar will intensify the government’s diplomatic efforts with a week-long visit to France and Belgium.

• Jaishankar’s third visit to Europe in recent months, part of India’s diplomatic engagement post Operation Sindoor.

• Visit aims to deepen India’s relations with the European Union, France, and Belgium, and boost cooperation in diverse areas.

• In France, Jaishankar will meet with French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Barrot and Marseille to address the “Mediterranean Raisina Dialogue.”

• In Brussels, Jaishankar will hold a “Strategic Dialogue” with EU High Representative and Vice-President Kaja Kallas.

• He will also meet Belgian Deputy Prime Minister Maxime Prevot for bilateral talks.

• Jaishankar is expected to raise India’s request for the repatriation of diamond merchant Mehul Choksi.
