• Kerala plans to challenge the Supreme Court’s ruling on pending bills by Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi.

• The Supreme Court ruled Ravi’s prolonged refusal to give assent to the Bills as “illegal” and “erroneous in law.”

• Kerala has previously approached the Supreme Court against former Governor Arif Muhammad Khan and President Droupadi Murmu’s withholding of assent to a few Bills.

• Kerala aims to argue that all Bills pending with Murmu, including those withheld, are passed as the Governor’s actions were “erroneous in law.”
