Kerala youth dies, relative injured in Russian Army conflict, family reports.
• Binil Babu, 32, and Jain Kurian, 27, from Thrissur district in Kerala, were forcibly enlisted by the Russian Army.
• Babu and Kurian were working in the conflict zone in Ukraine since June 2024, carrying out dangerous tasks.
• The Russian Army sent them for combat, causing them to be unable to contact their families.
• The families are seeking assistance from the Indian embassy and the Department of Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (NoRKA).
• Babu and Kurian were promised jobs in Poland but later realized they were offered a Russian visa.
• Sandeep Chandran, another youth from Thrissur, died in shelling in Ukraine in August last year.
