Landslip Injuries 12 Labourers at Chamoli Hydropower Project
• A landslip hit the Vishnugad hydroelectric project site near Helang in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, causing injuries to nearly 300 workers.
• Four workers were seriously injured, eight sustained minor injuries.
• All injured workers were admitted to Vivekanand Hospital at Pipalkoti.
• One worker had a leg fracture, while another required a spinal MRI scan.
• Work has been suspended at the project site until safety is ensured.
• State Disaster Response Force, Police, and Health Departments rushed to the site.
• The THDC is building a barrage to regulate Alaknanda river water, which will be used to generate electricity.
