    Maharashtra Assembly Election Results

    • The ruling Mahayuti alliance won 234 out of 288 seats in the Assembly election, marking a significant electoral victory.

    • The BJP emerged as the single largest party, winning 132 seats on its own.

    • The Mahayuti is expected to form the government within three days, with MLAs-elect gathering in Mumbai.

    • Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to be in Mumbai on Sunday as the central observer of the party.

    • Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi won only 50 seats, with none of the three MVA parties winning even 10% of the total seats.

    • The current Assembly’s term ends on November 26.

    • The MLAs-elect of outgoing Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena held a preliminary meeting in Mumbai, giving their chief the right to take all decisions on government formation.

    • The Pawar family battle for the Baramati seat was won by Nationalist Congress Party chief Ajit Pawar.
