Mahayuti reduces 8 lakh Ladki Bahin aid

• The move follows the removal of nearly five lakh ineligible women from the scheme.

• Maharashtra Congress president Harshvardhan Sapkal accused the Mahayuti government of deceiving farmers and women.

• Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare clarified that only those not receiving benefits under any other government scheme can avail of the ₹1,500 monthly assistance.

• The revised structure caps beneficiaries’ benefits within the ₹1,500 limit stated in the Ladki Bahin scheme guidelines.
