Namibian Cheetah Dies of Injuries at Kuno National Park
• An eight-year-old Namibian cheetah, Nabha, died in Kuno National Park, Madhya Pradesh, after sustaining injuries inside her enclosure.
• Nabha had fractures in her Ulna and Fibula on the left side and other injuries.
• After Nabha’s death, Kuno now has 26 cheetahs, including six male and three female adults from Africa and 17 Indian-born cubs.
• All 26 cheetahs are healthy and performing well, with 16 in the wild and 16 in the sanctuary.
• Two South African male cheetahs, Prabhas and Pawak, were transferred to the sanctuary in April 2022.
• Anti ecto-parasitic medication was given to all the cheetahs to prevent parasitic infection.
