• NSCN(I-M) opposes working with the Naga National Political Groups (NNPG) to find a common political solution.
• NNPG, a group of six Naga extremist groups, opposes the NSCN(I-M).
• The Centre signed the Agreed Position with NNPG in 2017, two years after the Framework Agreement (FA) was signed with them.
• NSCN chairman Q. Tuccu argues that the FA recognizes the sovereign rights of the Nagas and urges Nagas to defend it.
• Tuccu also criticizes the NNPG for creating a “deceitful” alliance to counter the NSCN’s leadership.
