Opposition MPs Incite House Chaos Over New Bills to Remove Arrested PM

• Opposition and ruling party MPs clashed in Lok Sabha over three new Bills aimed at restoring political morality.

• Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress leader K.C. Venugopal sparked a heated debate over Shah’s 2010 arrest.

• Trinamool Congress MPs threw copies of the proposed legislations in front of Shah’s seat, causing a brief clash.

• The Bills were referred to a Joint Committee of Parliament, with 21 members from Lok Sabha, VIJAITA SINGH, NEW DELHI Sabha, and 10 from the Rajya Sabha.

• The Bills propose that Prime Ministers, Chief Ministers, or Ministers arrested and detained for 30 consecutive days without bail, on charges punishable with imprisonment for five years or more, should be removed from office by the 31st day.
