• Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, urges Bangladesh to move past the “unresolved issue” of Pakistan’s accountability for the 1971 atrocities committed by the Pakistani military.

• Dar, the first Pakistani Foreign Minister to visit Bangladesh in a decade, met with Prof. Mohammed Yunus, Chief Adviser to Bangladesh’s government.

• The issue of Pakistan’s accountability for the atrocities has been a longstanding obstacle to normalizing ties.
