    • P. Jayachandran, renowned for his expressive singing and magical voice, passed away at 81.

    • He had sung over 16,000 songs across Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi.

    • Despite his age, his voice remained youthful and resonated with romantic hearts.

    • Born in Ravipuram, Ernakulam, to renowned musician Tripunithura Ravi Varma Kochaniyan Thampuran and Subhadra Kunjamma, Jayachandran was raised in Irinjalakkuda, THE HINDU BUREAU, Thirissur.

    • His musical journey began with his first song in the film Kunjali Marakkar.

    • He has collaborated with numerous composers and won several awards, including the J.C. Daniel Award and the Kalaimamani Award.
