🏅 Sports Person Reservation (WBPSC/WBCS)

• Certain posts in WBCS have reservation for Meritorious Sportspersons of West Bengal.
• The quota is up to 2% of the total vacancies in direct recruitment.
• Recognized sports: Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, and Boxing (as notified by Govt. of WB).
• Candidates must possess valid Meritorious Sportsperson Certificate issued by the competent authority in West Bengal.

⚠️ Note: Sports quota is horizontal reservation → it cuts across categories (GEN/SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
