    • Rohit Sharma’s exit from India’s cricket team was confirmed by Jasprit Bumrah during the fifth Test at Sydney Cricket Ground.

    • Rohit’s name was not mentioned in the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s note on the playing XI and the entire squad.

    • Bumrah praised the team’s unity and leadership by resting Rohit in the game.

    • Coach Gautam Gambhir evaded a direct response to Rohit’s spot in the playing XI, leading to speculations and conspiracy theories.

    • Rohit made a successful Test debut in 2013 and played 67 Tests, scoring 4301 runs with an average of 40.57.

    • His last innings was at Melbourne Cricket K.C. VIJAYA KUMAR, Sydney Ground on December 30, last year.

    • Rohit may play one last tango in limited overs cricket in the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates from February 19 to March 9.
