Sanjay Murthy Assumes India’s CAG

• Senior Indian Administrative Service officer K. Sanjay Murthy becomes India’s CAG.

• Murthy, an 1989-batch IAS officer, succeeds Girish Chandra Murmu.

• Prior to this, he served as Secretary in the Department of Higher Education, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, and Chief Executive Officer of National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation.

• President Droupadi Murmu administers the oath of office and secrecy.
