Shahdara Police Station: 110 Years of History
• Founded on January 7, 1915, Shahdara police station in north-east Delhi.
• Transitioned from housing freedom fighters to law enforcement and crime prevention.
• First FIR lodged on its establishment day under Section 457 of the IPC.
• Sukhdev Mali, a member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association, was arrested and lodged at the station in 1928.
• Station was a center for interrogating revolutionaries, including HSRA members and those associated with the Chittagong uprising.
• Modern building inaugurated in February 2022, symbolizing revolutionaries’ sacrifices.
