    Sheikh Hasina Attacks Interim Leader Muhammad Yunus in Bangladesh

    • Sheikh Hasina, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, has publicly accused interim leader Muhammad Yunus of genocide and failing to protect minorities, including Hindus.

    • She claimed plans to kill her and her sister Sheikh Rehana were in place, similar to the assassination of their father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975.

    • Hasina criticized the current government for failing to protect minorities, stating that 11 churches have been razed, temples and Buddhist shrines have been broken, and the arrest of the Iskcon leader was made.

    • Hasina questioned the motive behind the persecution of minorities and questioned the right to justice.

    • She left Bangladesh in August to stop the violence, but the situation has deteriorated further.

    • India has expressed concerns over attacks on minorities, especially Hindus, in Bangladesh, and has called for the interim government to protect all minorities.
