Silent Rally in Kolhapur for Elephant Return

• A massive crowd in Kolhapur protested for the return of a 36-year-old elephant, Mahadevi, from NGO Vantara’s wildlife rehabilitation facility in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

• Vantara, supported by Reliance Industries Ltd. and Reliance Foundation, is the brainchild of Anant Ambani, son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

• The march, led by former Swabhimani Kisan Sangathan chief Raju Shetti, covered 45 km and gathered over 30,000 people.

• Vantara, the NGO, stated that the transfer has been carried out by authorities and that the promoter family has no involvement in its daily operations.
