Special Investigation Team (SIT) Investigates Aland Voter Fraud

• SIT identifies six suspects in voter fraud in Aland, Karnataka.

• A call centre-like firm in Kalaburagi was allegedly paid ₹80 to create forged Form 7 applications.

• Six suspects have been identified, with five questioned and their statements recorded.

• SIT raided their residences and recovered digital devices used in the forged Form 7s.

• The SIT remains unclear about the firm’s payment and why premises linked to former BJP MLA Subhash Guttedar were raided.

• The case was raised by B.R. Patil in February 2023, leading to ground verification and an FIR.

• The case is currently under SIT investigation.
