    • Fair and remunerative price (FRP) paid to farmers and conversion costs have increased.

    • Production cost is nearly ₹41 per kg.

    • Ethanol price has not been revised for sugar mill supplies.

    • Cane payment arrears for farmers reached ₹13,850 crore as of February 6, 2025.

    • Government export permit aids mills.

    • Almost 75% of sugar sold in local market is bought by institutional buyers.
