Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Delhi HC Manmohan as Supreme Court Judge
• Chief Justice of Delhi, Manmohan, is recommended for appointment as a Supreme Court judge by the Supreme Court Collegium.
• This is the first recommendation from the Chief Justice Khanna Collegium.
• Manmohan will fill one of two pending vacancies in the Supreme Court, which has a sanctioned judicial strength of 34.
• He ranks second in the combined all-India seniority of High Court judges and is the senior-most judge serving in the Delhi High Court.
• Manmohan was appointed as a judge of the Delhi High Court on March 13, 2008, and has been serving since September 29.
