Suvendu is one of four BJP MLAs suspended from Bengal Assembly.

• Suvendu Adhikari, Agnimitra Paul, Biswanath Karak, and Bankim Ghosh suspended by Speaker Biman Banerjee for creating a ruckus in the House.

• The suspension was triggered by Speaker Banerjee refusing to discuss an adjournment motion by Ms. Paul.

• Adhikari, who has been suspended four times since 2021, stated he would boycott Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the House.
