    • Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Taliban-ruled Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.

    • The Taliban expressed gratitude for Indian humanitarian assistance and discussed the Iranian port of Chabahar.

    • India has not recognized the Taliban regime in Kabul, which took charge in August 2021.

    • Muttaqi expressed hope for liberalizing the visa regime between Afghanistan and India.

    • India will provide further material support to the health sector and refugee rehabilitation.

    • The two sides also discussed strengthening sports cooperation.

    • India agreed to promote the use of Chabahar port for supporting trade and humanitarian assistance
