Tata Steel Launches First All-Woman Shift at Noamundi Iron Mine
• Tata Steel Ltd. has implemented an all-woman shift at its Noamundi Iron Mine, marking India’s first such initiative.
• The shift includes women employees in all mining activities, including heavy earth moving machinery (HEMM), shovel, loader, drill, dozer operators, and shift supervision.
• The initiative was flagged off by Shyam Sundar Prasad, deputy director general of mines safety in the SE region, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
