    • Urban women’s share in paid work has increased from 15.5% to 18%, while men’s share has increased from 58.1% to 61.2%.

    • Urban men’s share in unpaid services for personal use increased from 79.3% to 81%, while women’s share increased from 23% to 28.5%.

    • Urban women’s share in caring for children, the sick, the elderly, and differently abled persons increased from 25.9% to 31.8%, while men’s share increased from 12.9% to 17.3%.

    • Most states have a similar share of urban men and women in unpaid domestic services, with urban men ranging from 20% to 40% and women from 75% to 85%.

    • North-eastern states like Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland have over 50% men participating in household chores.

    • Major states like Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh have a higher share of women in paid work, indicating a balancing act between work and domestic responsibilities.
