    • Manipur government orders probe into alleged incident where armed forces made journalists and information officials cover “Manipur State Transport” on a bus.

    • The incident triggered anger in the Meitei-majority Imphal Valley, leading to a 48-hour general strike and demands for resignation of Manipur’s Security Adviser Kuldiep Singh, Chief Secretary P.K. Singh, and Director General of Police Rajiv Singh.

    • An inquiry committee will be formed to examine the incident’s facts and circumstances.

    • The committee will be asked to look into lapses, suggest preventive measures, and submit a report within 15 days.

    • The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) announced a 48-hour shutdown.
