    • The TMC general secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, argues the BJP’s attempt to equate West Bengal with Bangladesh is a political propaganda.

    • Banerjee demands suspension of the investigating officer and a public apology from Delhi Police and the Home Ministry.

    • BJP leader Amit Malviya accuses Banerjee of “weaponising language” and stoking sentiment over a lawful police action against Bangladeshi infiltrators.
