Two cases of the Nipah virus have been reported in Kerala.
An 18-year-old girl and a 38-year-old woman in Kerala have tested positive for the Nipah virus.

• The virus has resurfaced in Kerala two months after the previous case.
• A post-mortem examination was conducted at the Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode.
• The 38-year-old woman, a mother of three, is in critical condition with ventilator support.
• Health authorities in Malappuram, Palakkad, and Kozhikode districts are on high alert following the initial Nipah confirmation.
