Two Women Naval Officers to Sail Globally

• Lt. Cdr. Dilna K. and Lt. Cdr. Roopa A. will embark on the second edition of the Navy’s Navika Sagar Parikrama.
• The expedition will take them on a journey of over 21,600 nautical miles (approximately 40,000 km) without external assistance.
• The voyage will be flagged off from the Naval Ocean Sailing Node, INS Mandovi, in Goa.
• The journey will take them through treacherous waters, including the passage around the three great Capes.
• The expedition is the first Indian circumnavigation of the globe by an all-woman crew of six officers.
