    • Others suggest that high tariffs on China could lead to a return of investments to India.

    • The U.S. and China announced a temporary reduction in tariff escalation, thawing trade relations between the two largest economies.

    • S.C. Ralhan, President of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations, suggests the reduction could boost U.S.-China bilateral trade in high-value sectors like electronics, machinery, and chemicals.

    • Ajay Srivastava, former Director General of Foreign Trade, argues the deal doesn’t address the underlying trade imbalance.

    • Lower tariffs could potentially ease ‘dumping’ of Chinese goods, a concern for countries like India and Vietnam.
