• Foodgrain, fruit, and vegetable yields increased significantly in 2022.

• The Central government set a production target of 362.5 million tonnes for 2025-26, up from 341.55 million tonnes in 2022.

• Total foodgrain production reached 353.96 million tonnes in 2024-25, a 6.5% increase from the previous year.

• Record harvests were achieved in key crops like rice, wheat, maize, groundnut, and soybean.

• The conference discussed climate resilience, quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, horticulture, and natural farming.

• The focus was on boosting pulses and oilseeds productivity and integrated farming systems.

• The Centre and States will continue coordinated efforts to ensure agricultural growth and farmers’ welfare.
