Union Cabinet Approves DMRC’s Rithala-Narela-Nathupur Corridor
• The Union Cabinet approved the 26.46-km Rithala-Narela-Nathupur (Kundli) corridor, a new metro network extension.
• The cost of the corridor is ₹6,230 crore and is expected to be completed in four years.
• The stretch, part of DMRC’s Phase-IV project, will have 21 stations, all of which will be elevated.
• The new corridor will expand the metro’s network in the north-west areas of the national capital, including Narela, Bawana, and parts of Rohini.
• The corridor will be the DMRC’s fourth extension into Haryana, boosting the economy and reducing road congestion and pollution.
