US Quad Summit Agenda: China to Be High on Agenda
• US President Joe Biden will host Quad leaders in Wilmington, Delaware, on Saturday.
• Biden will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Australia’s Anthony Albanese, and Japan’s Fumio Kishida.
• The meeting will focus on expanding cooperation on critical issues such as regional challenges caused by aggressive PRC military action, unfair trade practices, and tensions over the Taiwan Strait.
• Other agenda items include health security, natural disaster response, maritime security, infrastructure, critical technologies, climate, clean energy, and cyber security.
• Biden is expected to discuss human rights with Prime Minister Modi, stating he has always respected human and civil rights.
• The Quad has seen commitments from Democratic and Republican Presidents, with the last meeting for two of the four leaders.
