    • Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, presided over an all-party meeting in Punjab, despite the neighbouring state’s refusal to participate in a meeting by the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) due to procedural violations.

    • The meeting unanimously passed a resolution urging Punjab to implement the BBMB’s decisions without conditions.

    • Leaders from various parties expressed concern over the emerging drinking water crisis in Haryana and criticized Punjab’s withholding of Haryana’s share of water.

    • The Union government advised Punjab to execute the BBMB’s decision to release an extra 4,500 cusecs of water from the Bhakra Nangal dam.

    • Saini accused Punjab of obstructing Haryana’s drinking water and called for a special Vidhan Sabha session on the water issue.

    • Punjab declined to participate in the meeting, citing procedural violations in the meeting’s scheduling.
