From the WBCS 2023 Notification:

• Minimum Age (for all groups A, B, C & D): 21 years (as on 1st January of the examination year).
• Maximum Age:
  • Group A & C: 36 years
  • Group B (Police Service): 36 years
  • Group D: 39 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST of West Bengal: up to 5 years
  • OBC (West Bengal): up to 3 years
  • PwD candidates: up to 45 years
  • SC/ST/OBC from other states: treated as General, no relaxation

👉 In short: General candidates must be 21–36 years (39 for Group D). Relaxations apply for reserved categories as per state rules .
