From the WBCS 2023 Notification:
- Minimum Age (for all groups A, B, C & D): 21 years (as on 1st January of the examination year).
- Maximum Age:
- Group A & C: 36 years
- Group B (Police Service): 36 years
- Group D: 39 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST of West Bengal: up to 5 years
- OBC (West Bengal): up to 3 years
- PwD candidates: up to 45 years
- SC/ST/OBC from other states: treated as General, no relaxation
👉 In short: General candidates must be 21–36 years (39 for Group D). Relaxations apply for reserved categories as per state rules .
