As per the WBCS 2023 Notification:

• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% reservation is provided in direct recruitment posts and services under the Government of West Bengal.
• Candidates must have a valid EWS certificate issued by a competent authority in West Bengal.
• EWS reservation is applicable only to domiciled candidates of West Bengal.

⚠️ Note: Candidates from other states applying under EWS are treated as General category (no EWS benefit).
