    • Senior advocate Kapil Sibal argues that appointments to public services were postponed due to case uncertainty.
    • The court has requested clarification on the nature and scope of the survey and the state’s consultations with the West Bengal Backward Classes Commission.
    • The court has also requested details of consultations during subclassification for reservation purposes.
    • The judgment has affected five lakh OBC certificates issued since 2010.
