    • Solicitor-General Tushar Mehta urged the Supreme Court not to make generalized observations that could fuel a narrative against the ED.

    • The hearing was on a suo motu case following summons issued by the ED against two senior advocates.

    • Attorney-General R. Venkataramani defended the ED’s actions, stating the summons had been withdrawn.

    • Chief Justice Gavai noted that narratives often begin before the court takes a case for hearing.

    • The court acknowledged the ground realities in ED cases with political overtones.
