    • However, no progress has been made on the Adani Group’s projects, which are under review in Sri Lanka and face further pushback.

    • The Dissanayake government may hold a 500 MW wind power project in the northeastern regions of Mannar and Pooneryn.

    • Despite the company’s significant stakes in Sri Lanka, no Adani company representative was listed at the “India-Sri Lanka Business Forum”.

    • There was no common ground on the contentious issue of fishermen, with no agreement on the use of “bottom trawlers” that deplete marine resources.

    • India has expressed hope for Sri Lanka’s government to fulfill the aspirations of the Tamil people and conduct the Provincial Council Elections.

    • Dissanayake has requested India to support Sri Lanka’s bid to join the BRICS grouping and intervene on the UNCLCS.
