ABOUT THE SCHEME

The State Government announced the ‘universal electrification’ of households namely “Sarba Griha Deep Prakalpa” (Sabar Ghare Alo) under Special BRGF scheme to achieve 100% household electrification in 11 backward districts of West Bengal namely Dakshin Dinajpur, Malda, Murshidabad, Birbhum, South 24-Parganas, Uttar Dinajpur, Purulia, Paschim Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, Purba Medinipur and Bankura.Continue Reading West Bengal Government Scheme Sabar Ghare Alo-Details For WBCS Examination Interview.

An amount of Rs. 837 Crores has been received for this purpose up to 31st March 2013.  project’s execution started in July 2012 and was likely to be completed within two years. Under this project 28214 villages, 21 lakh BPL households and 17 lakh APL households are likely to be electrified.
